LAPGOLF virtual caddy software is available for both PDAs and computers. While the essential function of the software – to help golfers understand and improve their game – remains unchanged regardless of which version is used, there are some minor differences between the PDA and PC versions.
PDA Version:
Offers the true “virtual caddy,” allowing you to access your current statistics while you play.
Offers you the ability consult “pro tips” while on the course for a given hole.
Tells you what club to use in a given situation.
Gives you the option of doing a quick or detail entry.
You can add personnel notes on every hole.
PC Version:
Statistics can be written in detail on the course with your LAPGOLF scorecard and entered in your computer after the game.
You will have access at all time to your club distance printed on your LAPGOLF scorecard during the game, allowing you to choose the right club.
Can be used for quick entry (a few seconds) and for detailed entry.
Gives you detailed statistics for every aspect of your game in no time.
Which is better?
In all honesty, we recommend the PDA version of the program as the suggested way of using LAPGOLF. This gives you access to instantaneous features that can improve your game while you play. If you don’t have a PDA though, and have no plans on getting a PDA in the immediate future, then we recommend going with the PC Version, particularly as it is the next best thing after the PDA version.
